The city (at least my neighborhood) still looks clean, although I live in Kits. The CBC had a man from City Farmer talking about composting today. I've been composting since January and I can tell you our load of garbage has greatly diminished.

Vancouver Garbage Strike Day #2
Not much to report. I guess the rain has kept the garbage inside people's homes. For now at least.

Vancouver Garbage Strike Day #1
So garbage collectors have gone on strike in Vancouver. I've never been in a city with a garbage strike so I am very excited. Well, not about stinky streets, but hopefully the strike will go on long enough for people to realize how much stuff they throw out. If I had the time I would look into the reasons why the workers went on strike, but I don't.
This will be a simple Blog/Vlog looking at how fast garbage accumulates in the city. When possible I'll post video clips so stay tuned. Today it's raining cats and dogs so I will take a look around my neighborhood.
